Moses & Joshua Accounts of Nephilim
God told Abraham that after 430 years his descendants would inherit the Promised Land. Satan decided to challenge God’s possession of the land and by the time Moses was born the land of Canaan was overrun by Nephilim. The Bible records accurately that Moses sent 12 men to spy out the Promised Land and this is the report that 10 faithless fearful men brought back:
“And they told him (Moses), and said, We came unto the land whither thou sentest us, and surely it floweth with milk and honey; and this is the fruit of it. Nevertheless the people be strong that dwell in the land, and the cities are walled, and very great: and moreover we saw the children of Anak there. And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the children of Israel, saying, The land, through which we have gone to search it, is a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of great stature. And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight (Numbers 13: 32-33).”
Because of their fear and refusal to fight the giants and conquer the land, the Israelites wandered in the wilderness for 40 years until all the faithless ones were dead. Only Caleb and Joshua of the original 12 spies lived to see the Promised Land.
The Demolition of Jericho / War with Nephilim
The city of Jericho was built by the Nephiim and barred the way to the Promised Land. It was the original Twin Towers. Moses said to the people: “Hear O Israel: Thou are to pass over Jordan this day, to go in to possess nations greater and mightier than thyself. Cities great and fenced up to heaven. A people great and tall, the children of the Anakims, whom thou knowest, and of whom thou has heard saying, Who can stand before the children of Anak? (Deut. 9:1-2).”
Jericho was supernaturally demolished by God when Joshua and the Israelites blew the trumpets. It signaled the beginning of a 6 year war to conquer Canaan and exterminate these monsters from the Promised Land.
Giants at the time of King David (About 1000 B.C.).
David kills Goliath with a sling and a stone.
“And there went out a champion out of the camp of the Philistines, named Goliath, of Gath, whose height was six cubits and a span. And he had an helmet of brass upon his head, and he was armed with a coat of mail; and the weight of the coat was five thousand shekels of brass. And he had greaves of brass upon his legs, and a target of brass between his shoulders. And the staff of his spear was like a weaver’s beam; and his spear’s head weighed six hundred shekels of iron: and one bearing a shield went before him. And he stood and cried unto the armies of Israel, and said unto them, Why are ye come out to set your battle in array? am not I a Philistine, and ye servants to Saul? choose you a man for you, and let him come down to me. If he be able to fight with me, and to kill me, then will we be your servants: but if I prevail against him, and kill him, then shall ye be our servants, and serve us. And the Philistine said, I defy the armies of Israel this day; give me a man, that we may fight together. When Saul and all Israel heard those words of the Philistine, they were dismayed, and greatly afraid. (I Samuel 17: 4-11). ”
David Faces many “Goliath’s” who Escaped the Conquest of Canaan.
And it came to pass after this, that there was again a battle with the Philistines at Gob: then Sibbechai the Hushathite slew Saph, which was of the sons of the giant. And there was again a battle in Gob with the Philistines, where Elhanan the son of Jaare–oregim, a Bethlehemite, slew the brother of Goliath the Gittite, the staff of whose spear was like a weaver’s beam. And there was yet a battle in Gath, where was a man of great stature, that had on every hand six fingers, and on every foot six toes, four and twenty in number; and he also was born to the giant. And when he defied Israel, Jonathan the son of Shimeah the brother of David slew him. These four were born to the giant in Gath, and fell by the hand of David, and by the hand of his servants. And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, the son of a valiant man, of Kabzeel, who had done many acts, he slew two lionlike men of Moab: he went down also and slew a lion in the midst of a pit in time of snow. (II Samuel 23:20).”
Did You Know? David actually burined the skull of Goliath at Golgatha. Golgotha or Calvary as many of us know it as… was the site outside of ancient Jerusalem where Jesus Christ was crucified. The word actually means “Place of the Skull”. Goliath, as a representation of Satan was crushed by the heal of the Savior. Many of you know what I’m referring to here:)
