Statement of Faith

STATEMENT OF FAITH

• We believe in one eternal God who exists and manifests Himself as the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (1 John 5:7)
• We believe that Yeshua is the given name of our Savior (though He is commonly known as “Jesus” to most) and that He is the Son of God. When He came to this earth, He did so having been born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, demonstrated the authority and power of God in works and speech, died on the cross, rose from the dead on the third day, and is now seated at the right hand of God having accomplished all that is necessary for man’s salvation (as described in all four Gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John as well as in the books of Romans and Hebrews and throughout the New Testament).
• We believe it is essential for man to repent of sin and by faith receive the finished work of Christ by confessing Him as Lord with his mouth and believing in his heart, thus resulting in regeneration by the Holy Spirit (Romans 6:23, Romans 10:9-10). We believe salvation comes by grace through faith and that it is the gift of God, not of works lest anyone should boast. (Ephesians 2:8) We also believe that this profession of faith should be followed by full immersion baptism as a public act of obedience (Acts 2:38).
• We believe the Holy Spirit is continuing the work He started at Pentecost empowering Believers to live a godly life and to continue in all the works of Yeshua. (John 14:12; Mark 16:17,18; Acts 1:8,
• As Believers in Yeshua, we understand that we are now His body here on earth and therefore we believe we should be doing what His body did while He walked this earth: proclaiming the Kingdom message, healing the sick, raising the dead, casting out demons, curing lepers… and even greater works. (John 14:12;1 Corinthians 12:28; Mark 16:17,18)
• We believe that all who have trusted in Christ to be their Savior and who have died will be resurrected in an incorruptible body to receive reward in Heaven and a dwelling place in the New Jerusalem. Those who do not believe will join Satan and his host in everlasting punishment. Thus, we also believe in a literal Heaven and a literal Hell.
• We believe the true Church is composed of all born-again Believers in Christ, regardless of denominational affiliation.
• We believe all born-again Believers have been commissioned to share the complete Gospel to all the world (Matthew 28:18-20).
• We believe the Bible is Divinely inspired and empowered by God, infallible and authoritative.
